Senior Consultant

Overview

As a Senior Consultant, you help to develop and implement change initiatives that enable companies to drive organizational behavior and achieve business results. You are exposed to a broad range of industries, clients and business issues that will enhance your business acumen and enable you to continue to build valuable problem solving skills. In cooperation with a Senior Consultant or project leader, you play a role in the development and delivery of solutions that may include:

Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you effectively design data-gathering instruments (e.g., focus group protocols, interview guidelines and surveys) to meet project objectives. You participate in primary research efforts, taking the lead on various activities with supervision. You review work for quality assurance, ensuring client readiness standards are met and provide guidance to Associate Senior Consultants and Interns. You are responsible for client management and lead regular meetings. In addition, you support new business activities under the guidance of senior team members including opportunity identification, proposal development, and pitch execution.

  • Designing workforce communication and engagement strategies and developing content including tactics and key messages
    Developing change strategies and providing implementation recommendations and support
    Advising senior leaders on how to effectively lead during transformations
    Developing communication, engagement and change impact measurement strategies and implementation support
    Developing internal branding and employer value proposition strategies, messages and  programs
    Creating and facilitating learning experiences including workshops and strategy sessions at all levels in an organization

Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Communications, International Management or comparable experience
    At least three to five years of practical experience in organizational and change management consulting
    Experience working in a client-oriented, professional services environment with Fortune 500 organizations preferred
    Profound knowledge of business fundamentals, corporate strategy and organizational issues
    Strong communication and personal interaction skills
    Solid analytical and problem solving skills combined with a creative or visionary mindset
    Comfort dealing with ambiguity and multi-tasking demands
    Ability to contribute individually and as a team member
    Strong work ethic with a commitment to high quality and service excellence
    Entrepreneurial spirit
    Position requires travel as needed for project work (generally 20% - 35%)
